TritonApps Help


UMSL TritonApps provides Students, Faculty, and Staff with remote access to applications from almost anywhere.

 

Web Portal

Windows and Windows-based PC users can launch applications directly from the web portal.

  1. Point your web browser to https://tritonapps.umsl.edu


  2. You will be prompted with entering your SSO ID and password. If you SSO ID is not in STL.UMSL.EDU domain, please enter your SSO ID with the domain name (e.g. YourSSOID@tig.mizzou.edu, YourSSOID@kc.umkc.edu, YourSSOID@mst.edu,)




  3. Once you log in, you will see the available remote applications. To launch an application, click once on the application icon.




  4. If you use Internet Explorer, click the app icon to launch the application.


  5. If you use a browser other than Internet Explorer:


    1. Click Save when the Save As window prompts.




    2. Open the .rdp file you saved.




  6. The application functions the same as having it installed on your PC once it opens. You can also save files to your personal K: drive.



Windows 10
  1. You can access TritonApps applications from the Start screen in Windows 10.


  2. Open the Control Panel and adjust the view by Small icons. Left click the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.




  3. In RemoteApp and Desktop Connection window. Click Access RemoteApp and desktops.




  4. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx and click Next




  5. Click next in Ready to set up the connection window.




  6. Enter your SSO ID and password in Windows Security window.




  7. Once the setup finished, click Finish to close the window.




  8. To launch an application, click View resources in the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections window.




  9. Or go to start menu, find TritonApps (RADC) folder.





Windows 8 App
  1. You can access TritonApps by installing Remote Desktop App on your Windows 8 PC, Tablet or Phone.




  2. To install the App, you will have to login your Microsoft account .


  3. In the Microsoft Store, search for Remote Desktop and install it.




  4. Launch the Remote Desktop App in the App menu.




  5. Click Access RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.




  6. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx and click Connect.




  7. Enter your SSO ID and password and click OK.




  8. Click app icon to launch the application.





Windows 8 clients
  1. You can access TritonApps applications from the Start screen in Windows 8.


  2. Open the Control Panel and adjust the view by Small icons. Left click the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.




  3. In RemoteApp and Desktop Connection window. Click Access RemoteApp and desktops.




  4. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx and click Next




  5. Click next in Ready to set up the connection window.




  6. Enter your SSO ID and password in Windows Security window.




  7. Once the setup finished, click Finish to close the window.




  8. To launch an application, click View resources in the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections window.




  9. Or go to start menu, search for tritonapps.





Windows 7 clients
  1. You can access applications from the Start screen in Windows 7.




  2. Open Control Panel and adjust the view by Small icons. Left click the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.




  3. In RemoteApp and Desktop Connection window. Click Access RemoteApp and desktops.




  4. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx and click Next.




  5. Click next in Ready to set up the connection window.




  6. Enter your SSO ID and password in Windows Security window.




  7. To launch an application, go to Start -> All Programs -> RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.





Mac OS X
  1. You can access TritonApps by installing Remote Desktop app on your Mac.


  2. In the app Store, search for Microsoft Remote Desktop and install it.




  3. Open the app in Applications.




  4. In the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, click Remote Resources.




  5. Enter https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx in URL, umsl-users\yourSSOID in User name, and password, then click Refresh.




  6. You should see all Remote Applications under Remote Resources. Select an application and click Start to launch it.





iOS
  1. You can access TritonApps by installing Remote Desktop app on your iPad or iPhone.




  2. To install the app, you can click the App Store icon on the login web page.




  3. Or search Microsoft Remote Desktop in the App Store.




  4. Open the app, touch the Add Remote Resource under Remote Resources.




  5. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx, your SSO ID and password.




  6. Once finished setup, you will see a list of remote applications under Remote Resources.





Android
  1. You can access TritonApps by installing Remote Desktop APP on your Android devices.




  2. To install the APP, you can click the Google play icon on the login web page.




  3. Or search Microsoft Remote Desktop in the Apps Store.




  4. Open the APP, touch the Remote Resources to add remote resources.




  5. Enter the connection URL: https://tritonapps.umsl.edu/RDWeb/Feed/webfeed.aspx, Enter "umsl-users\Your SSO ID" in the User name and the password.




  6. Once finished setup, you will see applications icons. Touch the icon to launch the application.
